 Jump, Breakaway Tire Jump
While the standard tire in the Competition Tire Jump is allowed in all major venues of dog agility competitions, the 'Break-Away Tire' represents the ultimate in safety, making it ideal for dog clubs, dog parks, and for anyone where increased safety is a concern. The tire is masterfully constructed by a one piece water-proof (pre-painted) foam expulsion with internal magnets that will 'separate' and open at the bottom of the tire (i.e. split) upon the impact of a dog landing on it. It will then return to its original form after the dog passes through, without manual resetting. This tire is the same design approved and recommended by CPE. Other organizations that recommend it include AAC and ASCA, and it is required by NADAC. It is also called an Agility Displaceable Tire, Spreadable Tire, Safety Tire, Break Apart Tire, Break-a-way Tire, or Break-away Tire. Our competition-quality Tire Jump is made to the specifications required by the trial organizations. The frame is made of 1 1/4" UV stabilized furniture grade red piping and disassembles into 6 pieces for easy storage. The tire is attached at the top with chain, and held securely in place with a sliding shock-cord support. By simply unclipping the top of the chain and moving the tire up and down, you can quickly adjust it to any height. There are preset height positioning eyebolts that allow you to quickly adjust the height of the tire. There are fixed positions for every jump height in all the major organizations (ie. AKC, USDAA, etc.). The tire shape is a flat pancake style allowed by all agility organizations, and measures 2-1/4" deep x 4-1/4" wide. Overall it is 24" inner diameter and 33" outer diameter. |
